Fiordland National Park is easily the Largest in New Zealand, stretching from Martins Bay in the north to Te Waewae Bay in the south. This is one of the remotest areas of the country, the rugged terrain, the wet climate and the thick bush have kept development to a minimum. The whole region is part of the southwest New Zealand World Heritage Area.

Photographs from two visits.

In March and April 2006 I tramped the Dusky Track, described as one of the remotest tramps in New Zealand, followed by the Kepler Track, one the the countries Great Walks.
Later that month and in to May I returned to tramp on the South Coast and Hump Ridge Tracks, before heading up for an overnight trip at Manapouri. I finished my three months of tramping on The Milford Track, which we walked out of season and accessed from the Eglinton valley giving us a different perspective on 'The Finest Walk in the World'
