Situated in the temperate zone of the South American continent,
Patagonia is a distinct region that lies across the countries of
Argentina and Chile. The climate is similar to that of New Zealand. The
Patagonian boundaries, especially the northern ones are fairly arbitrary,
but the area can be divided in to five distinct regions each with unique
landscapes and appeal for trekkers. The region can be combined with a
visit to the two capital cities of the countries, Buenos Aires and
Santiago.
Photographs from one visit.
From January to April 2008 we spent three months in Patagonia. Starting
in Buenos Aires, we travelled to the very south of the continent, before
making our way back up to Santiago. |
