One of Scotland's most scenic glens, Glen Affric runs South West from near the village of Cannich and it is possible to undertake an overnight trip to finish at Shiel Bridge. To the North of the Glen is a Large area of wild land with numerous valley and mountains, which eventually reaches the Inverness to Kyle Railway.

Photographs from one visit.

During June 2005 I under took a  thirteen day solo expedition from Shiel Bridge, visiting Glen Affric, Loch Mullardoch, Glen Strathfarrar and the southern Achnashellach hills. The weather was generally very settled, and I would rate this as one of my best backpacking trips in Scotland.
