This Gallery concentrates on the area of The Grampians around the Tarf and Tilt Hills, though altogether the Grampian Mountain Range covers a Large part of the Scottish Highlands. This area is characterised by rolling open country and with the exception of  Beinn a'Ghlo lacks the the well defined summits of some other areas. The nature of this country makes it possible to walk for several days linking major valleys and hills. If you pick your route right, the chances are that you won't meet another person here.

Photographs from two visits.

In January 2006  I backpacked for five days around Glen Tilt, looking for some snow, not finding much but still having a great time!
In February 2005 I completed a three day back packing trip from Blair Atholl to Linn of Dee, via Beinn Dearg, Tarf Water and Glen Tilt.
