Some twenty kilometre's inland from the coast the Picos de Europa are split in to three massifs, the central, eastern and western. The geology of the area is Limestone and there are impressive features such as the holes or Jou. Another feature of this region is the spectacular gorge which splits the western and central regions at Cares, this is one of the most popular places to visit in the national park.

Photographs from one visit.
Note: Photographs are scans or photographs of the originals and are not of the same quality as other trips. Due to breaking my digital camera just before leaving I had to use an instant exposure one shot camera.

This was my first visit to Spain and I explored the three areas of the Picos De Europa National Park, as well as Bilbao and Santander.
