The Glyders and Tryfan occupy a Small area of Snowdonia National Park,
but have some of the best walking and scrambling to be found outside of
Scotland. Bounded on the North by the Ogwen Valley and on the South by
the Llanberis Pass. Within this area are classic routes such as the
North Ridge of Tryfan and Bristly Ridge as well as numerous
opportunities the rock climbing.
Photographs from six visits.
The Glyders is one of my favourite mountain regions
outside of Scotland, due to the quality of the scrambling available
there.
In September 2005 we completed the Snowdon Horseshoe, as
well as backpacking in The Glyders.
In April and May 2005 we travelled up via Cadair Idris and then camped at
the base of Tryfan.
In April 2004 I completed a climbing skills course with Dragon Mountain
Skills.
In August 2003 we scrambled in the Glyders and on Snowdon.
In June 2002 we climbed in Llanberis Pass and scrambled on Tryfan. This
was my first trip with a digital camera!
From April 1998 there are some scanned pictures of my Easter Backpacking
trip with loads of snow!
