Centred around a National Park covering nearly
2200 square kilometres of land, Snowdonia has the highest mountains in the UK
outside of Scotland. There are three mountain groups which reach to over 3000',
which are: Snowdon itself, The Glyders and The Carneddau. Outside of this
central area there are many more fine and spectacular mountain ranges, including
Cnicht, Cadair Idris and the Nantlle Ridge.
Photographs from five visits.
In September 2005 we completed the Snowdon Horseshoe, as
well as backpacking in The Glyders.
In April and May 2005 we travelled up via Cadair Idris and then camped at
the base of Tryfan.
In November 2004 I passed my Mountain Leader Assessment through Plas y
Brenin.
In August 2003 we scrambled in the Glyders and on Snowdon.
In June 2002 we climbed in Llanberis Pass and scrambled on Tryfan. This
was my first trip with a digital camera!
